ETF Definition

Turkish ETF Definition: As you may know an exchange traded fund (ETF) is really a mix between a mutual fund and investing in a stock. There are various country ETFs out there. Some of the more popular ones currently include the Indian ETFs , Brazilian ETFs, Russian ETFs, and BRIC ETFs. The Turkish ETF gives an investor a chance to purchase a basket of Turkish securities or stocks through one investment vehicle.  Through buying a single security traded on the U.S. exchanges, for instance, you can buy into a Turkey ETF.  Buying a single country ETF can give you a great advantage as you gain access to a country like Turkey that may have been prohibitive to access otherwise. You also avoid the time consuming nature of buying all of the individual securities on your own and incurring large amounts of trading costs.
